Mr. Dominguez

Néstor Domínguez, Jr. hails from the state of Guerrero in Southwest México. He is an alum of the Chicago Public Schools, Merit School of Music, and Lawrence University-- where he pursued a dual degree in trumpet performance and instrumental/ general music education. Mr. Domínguez returned to Chicago to provide a high-quality music education in communities such as Belmont Cragin and Little Village. He has inspired students through wind band, world percussion, music technology, choir and Maríachi. He is a member of the Music Education Team for the Mile of Music Festival and a freelance musician in the Greater Chicago area. You will often find Mr. Dominguez enjoying time outdoors-- biking, swimming, gardening, trips to the dog park, playing basketball. He cherishes quality family time, and will be a first time dad in September 2023. He is excited to embark on this new adventure of fatherhood, and just as excited to get to know and learn from the Thorp community and students!
