Hi! I’m Ms. Florek, and I’m so excited for our year together! I graduated from The University of Illinois Chicago with my endorsement in ESL and Bilingual: Polish. Fun Fact: I was actually born in Poland and speak it fluently. I also did Polish Folk dancing for 15 years!
My teaching philosophy is to keep our class learning together as a community, with extra support provided when needed — because everyone learns best when we lift each other up!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading thrillers, crafting, playing golf and exploring new ideas to bring into the classroom. I believe that every day is an opportunity to grow, laugh, and discover something new.
