Greetings to everyone/Saludos a todos!
I’m Edgard Rincon and I came to Thorp from network 3. I began in CPS 10 years ago now as a bilingual special education teacher for the little ones in K-3. I have worked primarily in resource and co-teaching classrooms with students from pre-K - 8. I choose to teach in part because of the importance that my mother and relatives put on education opened a new world for me to grow, travel and put skills learned in the classroom directly to my work each day. I choose to stay teaching and in education because I believe it is the most solid bridge for anyone from any background to reach their dreams and aspirations. My favorite hobbies include enjoying a great street or open air festival, catching a live band, exploring the city and getting caught up in a good ball game or sports event. A favorite quote from Maya Angelou: “Do the best that you can until you know better, then when you know better, do better “
