Hi! I'm Mrs. Lecher. I am excited for my third year of teaching first grade at Thorp! This will be my 17th year of teaching. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University, and master's in reading from DePaul University. I love working with young children and seeing their curiosity and excitement for learning, and seeing how much they grow and learn every year. I am looking forward to learning a lot with your children this year and having some fun too!
When I'm not at school, I am spending time with my husband, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. Never a dull moment in our house, haha! I love cooking, running and doing all kind of things around the city with family and friends, like the beach, museums, restaurants, fests, sporting events(Go Bear's and White Sox!), etc. I'm looking forward to getting to know and working with you and your child this school year :)
