Attached below is the document you will be using to write your literary analysis essay for Romeo and Juliet.

Your FIRST and ONLY required step for today is to fill out the top portion where is asks you to create a THESIS and two TOPIC SENTENCES. Once you finish those, you may turn this assignment in.

If there is time, you will begin to gather quotes for your essay.

Once you are done, make a copy of your document and save that new document as: *insert your last name* Twelfth Night Essay Rough Draft
We will continue to add to your new document step by step throughout the week.

In this assignment, you will be recapping (summarizing) all the important events of Romeo and Juliet so far. In recapping the play, make sure to include each at least one event from each act (though you may include more to make your comic make sense). Here are some key plot events to consider:
What the lives of Romeo and Juliet were like before they both met each other
The marriage of Romeo and Juliet and how it was made possible 
The familial turmoil that that started after Romeo and Juliet got married
Comic Strip
- Illustrate and color a condensed comic strip version of Romeo and Juliet so far. Again, make sure that your comic strip includes the most important plot points so far of the 3 story lines mentioned above. The comic strip should show effort, be attractive, and be colorful.

A rubric for the assignment is attached. Make sure to review the rubric before you turn in your final product. This is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday.

Today will look a little bit different with science fair. While I know you are all in your homerooms, I would like you all to take some time and reflect on where your reading and LA writing grades are at. 

If you are in Loza's class:
-Use the grades calculator and planner to write your reflection
-Your reflection should be about 6-10 sentences (10 pts)
-I have also attached a PowerPoint with reminders of what to do for each class throughout the day
